He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Leland "Fred" Thorne (Erma) of Tonganoxie, James M. Thorne (Dee) of Tonganoxie and Cheryl "Cherie" Sherman of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Angie Rawalt, Melissa "Mo" Lewellen and Erin Whittington; his great grandchildren, William, Trey, Hope, James, Lexi, Michael, Jacob, Ryan, Aden and Dalton; and his siblings, Emmett Thorne and Nadine Engles of Pleasant Hill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
