He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer and Arline; and his siblings, Dale Herndon, Martha Lampkin and Robert Herndon.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kelley; his children, Tina Deckard (Paul) and Timmy Herndon (Peggy); his grandson Justin Deckard; his great grandchildren, Karley, Brayden, Kash, Laila and Chalyn; and his brothers, Paul Herndon and Orie Herndon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Martin Funeral Home.
