He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ponder and Grace Ponder (Naomi Geneva Ponder); his children, Tim Ponder and Sandra Ponder-Boswell; and his siblings, James "Jack" Ponder, Robert Linden Ponder, Louise Genavine McDonald, Lucy Shockley and Josie Phillips.
He is survived by: his son Howard Ponder (Lynn); his daughter-in-law Tatum Ponder of Oakville, MO; his brother Carl Ponder of Imperial, MO; his close friend Marsha Boswell; his grandchildren, Brandy (Ryan), Jamie (Misty), Kelsey (Greg), Justis, Brendan, Caitlyn (Johnie), Summer, Tim and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Alyson, Mackenzie, Ava and Everly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
