He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hurt and Joan Hurt; his siblings, Joe Hurt (Shirley) and Judith Bocklage; and his nieces, Christina Hurt and Jill Bocklage.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Hurt; his children, Jody Arechederra (Juan) of Troy, MO and John Hurt of Warrenton, MO; his sister Jenny Lime (Bob) of St. Peters, MO; his grandson Jacob Hurt (Tina); and his brother-in-law Don Bocklage. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pitman Funeral Home (904 State Hwy 47, Warrenton, MO 63383). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (724 E Main St, Warrenton, MO 63383).
