It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irma G Mertens (Warrenton, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on July 10, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil and Isabelle; her grandchildren, Hannah J. Ruether, Daniel I. Chute and Carrie Mertens-Paoli; and her siblings, Richard Wilkison and Florence Jefferies.
She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Anita Chute (Rod), Jack Mertens (Courtney), Suzie Polston (David), Charlene Twiehaus (Eddy), Mike Mertens (Chris), Janice Holt (Steve) and Laura Mertens (Mary Morris); her grandchildren, Rachel Chute (Corey Wilson), Renee Chute, Dustin Mertens, Michael Patrick Mertens, Richard Mertens, Nicholas Mertens, Sarah Kopmann (Eric), Joe Polston, Josh Polston (Erika), Kelsey Ahlheim (Michael), Rebecca Pollard (Jarred), Travis Mertens, Evan Mertens, Ben Mertens, Craig Holt (Katy), Jessica Holt and Haley Holt; and her siblings, Lawrence W. Wilkison (Ann) and Donna J. Stephenson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
