He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas and Gillettie; his former wife Vida Humphreys; his son Steven McDaniel; and his brother Gordon McDaniel.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Drey; his daughters, Julie McDaniel and Linda McDaniel; his stepchildren, Rick Drey and Amie Drey; his grandchildren, Adam Mort, Jonathan Mort, David Mort (Dana), Brandon Griggs, Carley Griggs and Olivia Scales; his great grandchildren, Paxton Mort, Abby Mort and Holdyn Dent; his brother Jim McDaniel (Beverly); and his sister-in-law Cathy McDaniel. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
