He was predeceased by: his former wives, Janice McCluskey and Janice Reed. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Reed; his children, Brian Reed (Susan), Charles Ansley (Christy), Trisha Patchett (Jamie), Madeline Gragg (Zafar) and Lisa Baker-Hercules (Jim Hercules); his grandchildren, John, Jesse, Kyle, Daniel, Sydney, Jackson, Roshan, Saalik and Jenna; and his great grandchildren, Ava and Jackson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
