She was predeceased by: her parents, James Austin Carson and Hattie E. Carson (Merle Snelson); her sons, Arnold Owens and Larry Owens; and her siblings, Inez Carson, Austin Carson, Ralph Carson, Clyde Carson, Kenneth Carson, James Carson and Eugene Carson.

She is survived by: her children, Earl Owens (Brenda) of O'Fallon, MO, Jim Owens (Cathy) of Maryland Heights, MO, Lyle Owens of St. Petersburg, FL and Diana King (Mark) of Brighton, IL. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
