He was predeceased by: his parents, Ore and George Raymond Buford; his grandmother Lucille Buford; his sister Barbara Jean Allen; and his grandson Buck Raymond Buford.

He is survived by: his wife Patty Jo Embree Buford of Warrenton, MO; his sons, Mike Buford (Janet) of Troy, MO, Gary Buford (Rena) of Troy, MO and David Buford of Placentia, CA; his grandchildren, Shannon Buford (Julie), Kyle Buford (Corey), Nathan Buford, Meghan Boaz (Jay), Shelby Smock (Eddie), Leah Buford (Derrick) and Danielle Buford; and his great grandchildren, Elise Buford, Deacon Boaz and Rigsby Boaz.
