He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Simpson and Lera Simpson of Harrisonville, MO; his brothers, Larry Simpson (Barbara) and Rick Simpson of Lee's Summit, MO; his nephew William Simpson; and his nieces, Megan Simpson, Lera Simpson and Christina Sessoms (Chris).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 his memory.
