He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elmer and Helen Elmer (Rodgers); and his wife LaVera "Lovie" Loyd. He is survived by: his sons, Brad Elmer (Karen) of Clinton, Missouri, Scott Elmer (Kelly) of Liberty, Missouri and John Elmer (Jane) of Clinton; and his grandchildren, Tanner Elmer, Caleb Elmer and Chloe Elmer.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Henry County Memory Fund or St Croix Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home.
