We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2022, at the age of 92, Robert Welling of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Welling and Sylvesta Welling (Lesmeister); his sisters, Mary Louise and Constance; his wife Rosalee Buhler; his children, Kathleen and Stephen Douglas; his niece Mary Ellis Barry; and his great grandchild Summer Jaymes.

His contributions to education at the national level included service as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) and chair of the NASBE Governmental Affairs Committee.
