He was predeceased by: his parents, William Halbert and Mackie Owings (Maness); his wife Sue; his son Jeffrey Owings; and his brother Rodger Owings.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paula S. Gauchat (Ed) of Warrensburg and Marla D. Hisgen (Jeff) of La Quinta, CA; his grandchildren, Branden D. Gauchat (Lacey), Brittany Gauchat-Jones (Bryan), Ashley D. Fedorchenko (Christopher) of Phenix City, AL, Erica Courtney (Matt) of Indio, CA, Alexis Hisgen and Camden Hisgen of La Quinta, CA; and his great grandchildren, Logan of Mustang, OK, Grace, Brody, Hailey of Warrensburg, Kaylee and Hunter of Phenix City, AL..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association and can be left in care of the funeral home.
