He was predeceased by: his mother Billie June Brown; his adoptive parents, Claude Morgan Miller and Lillie Mae Miller; and his brother Terry Brown. He is survived by: his children, Sherry Hunter (Mike), Morgan Miller (Lindsay) and Megan Nicholls (Travis); his brothers, Kenneth Brown and James Brown (Jimbo); and his grandchildren, Brooklynn Nicholls, Paige Nicholls, Avett Miller and Finnegan Miller.
