Johnnie Pennel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnnie Pennel (Warrensburg, Missouri), who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Perry Cook (S. P.) and Nellie Mae Parkerson; and her son Michael. She is survived by: her husband Roger Lee Pennel; her son Shannon Holt of Baton Rouge, LA; her grandson Conner Holt (Brittany); her great grandchild Harvey Holt; her stepchildren, Chad Pennel (Kim) of Frisco, TX, Cara Pennel, Joshua Pennel (Liz) and Adam Pennel (Laylan); her stepgrandchildren, Jake, Hunter, Taylor Pennel, Madeline, Theodor Pennel and Marlowe Pennel; her sister-in-law Donna Mitchell of Joplin, MO.; her stepsiblings, Chino Hunt (Cheryl) of Gulfport, FL and Wanda Hunt; her grandson Cori Strickland; her mother-in-law Dolores Pennel Joplin; her close friends, Trudy Sites, Bobbie Maltsbarger and Beverly Morris; and also Paige Howard. She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

Johnnie loved all animals, so the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Warrensburg Animal Rescue and left in care of the funeral home.
