He was predeceased by: his parents, Vickery Haines and Velma Pearl Savage (Blaine); his wife Jeannette Sue; his sisters, Betty Jean Miller and Mary Francis Thompson; his nephew Bill Thompson; and his stepdaughter Lark Blankenship (Gary).

He is survived by: his stepsons, Arthur "Tom" Williams (Terry), Charles "Tim" Williams, Daniel "Ted" Williams and Bruce Staley (Laura).
