With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John McEwan of Warrensburg, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on February 21, 2025 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Margaret McEwan (Headman). He is survived by: his wife Jean McEwan (Eickhoff); his children, Anh, Sophia, John Thomas III and Thomas (Abby); his siblings, Tricia (Dean) and Curt (Celeste); his half-brother James; his parents-in-law, Betty Eickhoff and Harold Eickhoff; and his daughter Manuela. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home (617 N Maguire St, Warrensburg, MO 64093). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veteran Cemetery (20109 MO-13 BUS, Higginsville, MO 64037).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VFW Post 4195 in Knob Noster, MO, designating Post improvements in memory of John.
