He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Howard and Vonciele Howard (Tillie); and his grandparents, Dewey, Lorene Hall, Earl and Vina Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Janette Gillett; his children, Carrie Cromer (Rusty) of Knob Noster, MO and Chris Howard of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Noah and Brookelyn Cromer; his sister Barbara Wharton (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Ron Gillett (Julie) and Debbie Russell (John). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
