He was predeceased by: his parents, George Swope and Martha Swope (Cunningham); and his siblings, Larry Swope and Janet Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Karen Swope of Warrensburg; his children, Kenneth Swope (Mary) of Snohomish, WA, Melissa Willis (James) of Burke, VA, Gary Swope (Ann) of Concordia, MO and Martha "Marti" Swope (Josh) of Warrensburg; his grandchildren, Abigale, Kirk, Alex, Andrew, Lily Swope, Sophia, Emma Willis, Dusty Lynn, Destiny, Logan, Morgan, Cassidy, Izabella Swope, Zachary and Natalie Baker; and his great grandchildren, Hudson and Willow. He is also survived by 4 children, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
