He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Penton and Ida Mae Penton (Ward); and his stepfather Ward Smith. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Salmons of Independence, MO; his son Timothy Penton of Independence, MO; and his brothers-in-law, Robert C. Salmons (Joyce) of Overland Park, KS and James D. Salmons (Anita) of Blue Springs, MO. He is also survived by his family and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery and can be left in the care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
