He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Laura Frances (Woods) and Christopher William Collins; his wife Mary Ruth Collins (Goodwin); his children, Marilyn (Roy), Ernest Collins, Jr. (Becky), Ruth Rusk of Normal, IL, Laura Collins, Brenda Morris, Linda Rucker, Evelyn Collins Taylor, William Collins (Penny McCracken) and Roger Collins; his grandchildren, Lisa Johnson (Tommy), Joyce Johnson (Ashley), Bryan Collins, Robyn Hudson, Kyle Collins, Patrice Rusk of Normal, IL, Brent Rusk of Bloomington, IL, Dominique Rucker, Adrain Rucker, Ashely Conley (Kris), Nikki Morris (Clint Corson), Andre Morris (Ashley Caldwell), Kevin Morris, Jr (Jade Jones), Christopher Taylor and Jon Norwood; his great grandchildren, Tremayne Dortch of Houston, TX, London Johnson of Houston, TX, Jordan Hudson, Lucas Freeman (Collins), Xavier Morris, Kendall Conley, Houston Morris and Kendrick Morris; his brother Kenneth Walter Collins; his nieces, Jacqueline McKinney, Gwendolyn Griggs, Phyllis Collins and Sherry Collins of San Diego, CA; his great-nieces, Tyra Griggs of Aurora and Donai Griggs of Aurora; and his aunt JoeAnn Collins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, the American Legion Post 131, or the National Kidney Foundation and can be left in care of the funeral home.
