He was predeceased by: his mother Verna Horne (Lange); his former wife Sandra Horne; his son Edward Horne Jr.; and his brothers, Paul Horne and Edgar "Cutie" Horne.
He is survived by: his father Paul E. Horne; his wife Valerie Horne; his children, Jeannie Hannigan (Paul) and Bradley Horne Sr. (Shanda); his stepchildren, Michelle Wendel (Adam), James Huff (Alisha), Timothy Huff, Alicia Huff, Tracey Miller-Gaylord (Delvin) and Karen Hoffman (Pat); and his sister Sue Schade (Gordon). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
