He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Harold" Schawo and Mildred Schawo (Chapman); and his siblings, David, Mary Sue and Patricia.
He is survived by: his wife Jan McNarie; his son William "Bill" Schawo (Cari); and his grandchildren, Riley and Hailianne. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Luke's Cancer Institute, or the Optimist International Foundation.
