He was predeceased by: his father Fred Dietz; and also June Dietz (Hewitt). He is survived by: his children, Dan Dietz, Jr. and Laura Schaumberg; his wife Susan; his grandsons, Benjamin, Ryan, August, David and George; and his brothers, Douglas (Kathi) of St. Peter and David (Beverly) of Niceville, Florida..
