He is survived by: his son Michael Brett Priest; his daughter-in-law Joanna Priest of Wappapello; his grandchildren, Nymoweigh Sullivan, Mough Priest, Brannaugh Priest of Oklahoma, Dean Priest and Savannah Priest of Wappapello; and his brother Jim Priest. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
