It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Velma J. Edwards (Walnut Grove, Missouri), who passed away on April 16, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Frank and Mildred Hazen Parrish (Pursley); her husband Jim; and her siblings, David Parrish, Ruth Evans, Rosemary Lawson and Jackie Schumacher.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Edwards (Janet) of Brookline, Alan Edwards (Elaine) of Springfield, Gloria Allhands (Rex) of Halltown and Dana Edwards (Shari) of Springfield; and her siblings, Veva Collins of Strafford, Robert Parrish (Patsy) of Willard, Ben Parrish (Brenda) of Walnut Grove and Kay Parrish (Becky) of Walnut Grove. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions: Velma will lie in state at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Monday, April 20, 2020 from noon-5:00PM.
