He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Chester Hartley and Beryl Hartley (Kuntz); his wife Linda Hartley; his siblings, Arvil Dale Hartley, Walter Leon Hartley and Mary Marie Ruble; his son Joe Benton; and his grandson Aaron Thornton.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Hartley of Vulcan, James Hartley of Vulcan, David Benton of Mt. View, WY and Justin Case of Mt. View, WY; and his sister Juanita Howard of Piedmont, MO. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
