He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred; his parents-in-law, Pete and Peggy Cunio; and his brother-in-law Leon Hellmann. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Helen Buhr; his children, Steve Buhr (Elizabeth), Michelle Steimann (Joe) and Deanna Godat; his sister Carol Parmentier (Clarence); his grandchildren, Zack, Bailey, Allie, Toby Godat, Henry, Nora Buhr and Briana Steimann; his great grandchildren, Liam and Harry Godat; and his in-laws, Susan Hellmann and Doug Cunio (Kathy).

Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude or American Heart Association.
