With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard B. Unnerstall (Villa Ridge, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on October 19, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Louis Unnerstall (Louise); his wife Elizabeth Unnerstall; his mothers, Louise Unnerstall and Frances Unnerstall; and his siblings, Estelle Kindel, Jeanette Diermann, Barbara Schonberger, Willard Unnerstall and Donald Unnerstall.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Unnerstall (Sarah) of Villa Ridge, MO, Christopher Unnerstall (Sarah) of Pacific, MO, Jeff Unnerstall, Deborah Girdner (Kim) of Villa Ridge, MO, Cynthia Duncan (Steve) of Villa Ridge, MO and Teresa Unnerstall; his grandchildren, Brian Unnerstall, James Girdner, Nick Girdner, David Schaffner, Andrew Duncan, Sabrina Unnerstall, Amelia Moll, Stefanie Duncan-Buscher, Samantha Unnerstall-Crooks, Dustin Unnerstall, Meghan Girdner-Weber, Mitchell Duncan, Vince Unnerstall, Christopher Unnerstall, Tiffany Unnerstall, Cameron Unnerstall, Ally Unnerstall, Elizabeth Unnerstall and Erica Unnerstall; his sister Diana Unnerstall-Alfermann of Aurora, CO; and his brother-in-law Paul Schonberger. He is also survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Mercy Hospice.
