He is survived by: his spouse Nikki Sahm; his children, Jamie Heien (Jasen) of Dutzow, MO, Amanda Straatmann of Washington, MO, Brennen Straatmann of Villa Ridge, MO, Kyle Straatmann of Villa Ridge, MO and Brianna Hall (Justin) of Union, MO; his grandchildren, Jaden, Joie, Jaelee, Jazlen, Jaxen Heien, Landon, Makayla Lozano, Hannah, Brayden Straatmann, Lee and Noah Hall; his siblings, Joette Maune (Mike), Denise Smith (Al), Mark Straatmann (Theresa), Judy Hadsall, Rene Straatmann, Nina Kleekamp, Kent Straatmann and Amy Chavers (Paul); his parents-in-law, Dennis and Pat Sahm; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Kramer (Mike), Wayne Sahm (Fran), Mark Sahm (Gina), Dennis Sahm (Gail Cross) and Steve Sahm (Donna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John Gildehaus School or Masses.
