He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Unnerstall and Louise; his wife Mary Ann; his siblings, Willard Unnerstall, Estelle Kindel, Jeanette Diermann and Barbara Shonberger; and his nephew Bob Kindel.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Unnerstall (Linda) of Union, MO, John Unnerstall of Villa Ridge, MO, Ken Unnerstall (Chantell) of Washington, MO, Louise Manhart of St. Clair, MO, Johanna Crowe of St. Louis, MO and Angela Rue (Jay) of Washington, MO; his grandchildren, Bryan, Christina, Nathan, Ronald, Stephanie, Madeline, Camille, Miranda, Justin, Celeste, Zane, Sydney and Zachary; and his siblings, Diana Alfermann of Aurora, CO and Leonard Unnerstall of Villa Ridge, MO. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Masses.
