He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Joseph and Kunda Gunda Weidinger (Koerber); his wife Lucille; his siblings, Raymond Weidinger, Helen Magers and Leona Waters; and his stepfather Joseph A. Volmert.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Leonard Weidinger (Joyce) of Vienna, Joe Francis Weidinger (Brenda) of Vienna, Donald John Weidinger of Vienna and Larry John Weidinger (Kelly) of Vienna; his grandchildren, Angie Schwartze (John), Karrisa Grellner (Michael), Kelley Hagemeyer (Josh), Clayton Weidinger (Francie), Matthew Weidinger (Mara), David Weidinger (Jenna), Joshua Weidinger, Joseph Weidinger, Sara Schwartze (Jacob), Phillip Weidinger (Valerie), Justin Weidinger (Rebekah) and Rachel Weidinger; his great grandchildren, Maria, Anna June, Frances, Augustus, Greta, Mathias, Kyle, Lucille, Henry, Katarina, Leo, Felix, Sonya, Isaac, Rya, Jude, Leslie, Jada, Kloee and Ridge; and his half-sister Louise Fill.
