It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Bruynes of Versailles, Missouri, who passed away on March 8, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Berghorst and Marie Berghorst (Vlieger); her husband Jacob Bruynes; her daughter Martha Bruynes; and her siblings, Wilma DeBoer, Minnie Hubbling and Frank Berghorst.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Fick of Woodbury, Vicky Bruynes of Luverne, Jacob Bruynes (Terri) of Hardwick and Susan Bitterman-Bruynes (Lee) of Mitchell; her grandchildren, Ryan Fick (Kristy), Melissa Fick-Dorn, Lisa Lien (Luke), Jacob Bruynes (Katie), Caleb Bruynes (Tricia), Jonathan Tooley (Mickie), Jamison Tooley (Sarah), Kyle Bitterman (Andrea) and Nicole Argubright (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Mersadez Fick, Avah Dorn, Martin Fick, Maxwell Fick, Madison Lien, Keegan Lien, Dante Tooley, Loretta Tooley, Dylan, Alex, Douglas Bitterman, Eoghan Edginton, Coen and June Bruynes; and her siblings, Frances Vos of Luverne, Henry Berghorst of Benson, Martin Berghorst (Judy) of Wilmar, Arthur Berghorst (Pat) of Canby, Mary Wiering of Alexandria and Jack Berghorst (Julie) of Canby.
