He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Pryor (Stover); his sons, Rodney Vaughn Smith and Ronald Lee Smith; and his son-in-law Donald Hunziker. He is survived by: his children, Earl Vaughn and Tara Smith Hunziker of Versailles; his grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Tyler Smith, Ronnie Smith (Elizabeth), Gabriel Smith, Bethany Hunziker Thomas (Jonathon) and Virginia Hunziker; his great grandchildren, Annastasia, Scarlett and Azriel Thomas; his daughters-in-law, Cheryl Smith and Gabriella Smith; and his siblings, Delbert Smith and Joan Burnett.
