He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Caviness and Esther Caviness; his son James Caviness; and his brothers, Stanley, Rick and Bob.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol and Ginger; his grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Jesse and Zoe; his children, Tamara, Dorsey Jr. and Melissa; and his sisters, Evelyn Sue and Ruth Ann. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
