It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Velda Ellen Allen of Verona, Missouri, born in Bell, California, who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry and Vivian Ruby Roever (Vandorn); her daughter Verlane Godfrey; and her sister Vonda Steffen. She is survived by: her husband Robert Leroy Allen; her sons, James Allen (Lexie) of Des Moines and John Allen (Ruthann) of Fairbanks, Alaska; and her brother Edward Roever (Toshimi) of Honolulu, Hawaii. She is also survived by two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be payable to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in care of the funeral home.
