He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin H. Meyer and Emma E. Meyer (Bauer); and his siblings, Oliver Meyer and Selma Smith. He is survived by: his wife Lillyetta Engelmann; his sons, John Meyer and Mark Meyer of Verona; and his brother Orville Meyer (Doris) of Monett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
