He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rex Edward and Rose Helen Harris Askey; his wife Hazel Hardcastle; his daughters, Lynda Thurman (Kenny) of Vandalia, Laurie Jaye Fierge of Booneville and Robin Gray of Georgetown, TX; his stepchildren, Danny Hardcastle of Hannibal, Lori Wigley (Thomas) of Falcon and Wendy Bryant (Travis) of Curryville; and his siblings, Dale Askey of Monroe City, Sandy Hassien of Vandalia and Mike Askey. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
