He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Henry and Ona Hopke, Sr. (Stroker); his former wife Reba Mae Hatfield; his wife Martha Rathburn; his brothers, Wilford Hopke, Edward H. Hopke, Jr., N. Burton Hopke and J. W. Hopke; and his great grandchild Emma Hopke.
He is survived by: his children, David Hopke (Vicki) of Vandalia, MO, Dale Hopke (Marilyn) of Vandalia, MO, Dan Hopke (Donita) of Vandalia, MO, Dwayne Hopke of Vandalia, MO, Dianne Carr (Brian) of Farber, MO and Deanna Burnett (Bruce) of Gazette, MO; and his sister-in-law Wilma Hopke of Laddonia, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
