He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Louis and Edith Darlene Salmon (Bryant); his wife Barbara; and his brothers, Benjamin J. Salmon and Earl Wayne Salmon.
He is survived by: his children, Andrea J. Salmon, Lynn of Jefferson City, Walter Warren Salmon Sr., Angella of Vandalia, Jenise T. Johnson of Vandalia and Johnetta E. Salmon of Mexico; his grandchildren, Dexter Salmon, Shamaar Salmon, Sharea Salmon, Walter Salmon Jr., Bransen Salmon, Monte Ashcraft Jr. and King Ashcraft; and his siblings, Connie Salmon of Vandalia, Michael Salmon, Donnie Salmon of Phoenix and Aunt Elizabeth Shepard of Vandalia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
