Harold Ferguson Obituary
Harold Eugene Ferguson, 71, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 6:25 PM Monday, November 11, 2019, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia. Pastor Dustin Holt will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery following the service. Visitation celebrating Harold Eugene Ferguson will be held 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Waters Funeral Home.
Harold was born on February 24, 1948, in Fulton, Missouri the son of Charles and Margarette (Lee) Ferguson. He was united in marriage to Geneva Ferguson on February 22, 2002, in Mexico, Missouri. She survives him in death. Other survivors include six sons, Kent West of CA, Harold West of CA, Jeffrey Ferguson of Vandalia, MO, Keith Ferguson of Vandalia, MO, Gerald Connor (Beth) of IN, Arthaniel Hammers of IA; one daughter, LaDawn Holt (Terry Jr.) of Columbia, MO; three sisters, Ana McNeil (Leonard) of Fulton, MO, Charlotte Kay of Columbia, MO, Marie Galbreath of IN; fifteen grandchildren, two great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lance Ferguson; and one granddaughter, LaTamara Hammers. Harold attended school at Fulton High School. He retired from Harbison Walker Refractories after forty four and a half years of hard work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and keeping his yard maintained. Harold loved big get togethers and visiting with people, he never met a stranger.
His biggest love was his family and spending time with them. Memorial contributions may be made to Waters Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
