We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2021, at the age of 64, Gary Poindexter of Vandalia, Missouri, born in Mexico, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lloyd "Sparky" and Mildred Frances Poindexter (Oliver); and his sons, Kyle William Turner-Wright and Tyler James "TJ" Smith. He is survived by: his wife Laura Jane Wright-Cutsinger of Vandalia; his children, Anthony Scott Poindexter of St. Ann, Cynthia Marie Bradley (John) of Kansas City, Molly Louise Garman (Sel) of Bowling Green, Lucas Daniel Truman Poindexter, Kati of St. Ann, Natasha Leigh Wright (Bobby Benson) of Columbia and Joshua William Smith (Jamey) of Hannibal; his grandchildren, Marcus, John, Gillian Poindexter of Warrenton, Caleb, Jarrod, Ella Bradley of Kansas City, Kyler Wright-Benson of Columbia, Jackson, Jacob, Jasper and Jaeleona Smith of Hannibal; and his siblings, Michael Dean Poindexter (Juanita) of Houma, John Mark Poindexter (Darla) of Wellsville, Robyn Dea Vierling (Leonard) of Boonville and Jeffrey Graves Poindexter (Monica). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
