She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Malcom and Grace Malcom (Strode); her husband Gracin Akers; and her siblings, Ned Malcom and Posey Entress.
She is survived by: her siblings, Henryetta Lindley and Bobby L Malcom (Donna). She is also survived by 24 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Caledonia United Methodist Church.
