He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Deaton and Caroline Deaton (Patricia Marie Deaton); his son Christopher Deaton; and his siblings, Charles Deaton (Alberta) and Irene Wuertz (Walter).

He is survived by: his children, Michael Deaton, Kevin Deaton, Steven Deaton (Michelle), Lynette Lehmann (Bradley) and Scott Deaton (Deanna); and his cousin Friend.
