He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Thomas Smith and Fauneeta Ruth Thomas; and his daughter Carla Stephens (Kagarice). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith of Urich, Missouri; his children, Rob Claiborne (Gabby) of Urich, Rusty Claiborne (Sandra) of Urich, Missouri, C. J. Patrick (Mike) of Butler and Crystal Smith of Butler, Missouri; and his siblings, Everett Smith Jr. (Eileen) of Butler, Missouri and Helen Smith of Washington. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
