He was predeceased by: his parents, Odus Walker and Vesta Walker (Dillion). He is survived by: his children, Verna Lucille and Barry Curtis (Madonna Preston); his grandchildren, Melody Midgely (Jon Preston) and Bradley Walker; and his great grandchild Shyla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Citizens Memorial Hospital Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospice.
