He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Burkhart and Melva Jean Burkhart (Schlapia); and his sisters, Carol Takarska and Helen Clay. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Jean Mitchell; and his siblings, Ron Burkhart, Steve Burkhart, David Burkhart, Linda Hardwick and Laura Bowman.
