She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Spear and Wava Spear (Ingles); her former husband James "Jim" Hosiner; and her sisters, Elaine Gott and Erma Faye Spear.

She is survived by: her friends, Claudia Sue Ervin, Betty Lou Sergent and Janice Holt; her children, Nancy Darlene (John) of Halfway, MO., Stuart Ray (Stephanie) of Bolivar, MO. and Martin Anthony (Sonia) of Halfway, MO.; her husband Jerry Covert; and her stepchildren, Jimmie Dale Hosiner of Buffalo, MO., Jerri Lawrence (Bob) of Springfield, MO., Wanda Dunseth (Paul) of Halfway, MO. and Vince Covert of Pleasant Hope, MO.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, one sister, and two sister in-laws; as well as numerous extended family, friends.
