Van Cleve; her sisters, Patricia Rider and Martha Gaddy; her husband Dr. John Colwell of Charleston, SC.; her sisters-in-law, Connie Williamson of St. Louis and Sarah T. Van Cleve of Jacksonville, FL; her son Peter (Andrea) of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Sarah, Margaret and Bill; her son Robert (Anne) of Seattle; her grandchildren, Will and Ella; her daughter Sally Van Doren (John) of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Sam and Charlie; her great grandchild Emory (Kathleen) of Philadelphia; her parents, James Dunbar and Mildred Hess Dunbar; and also, Jackson, Emerson, John, Karen, Anne and Jim. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to two scholarships at Washington University in St. Louis: the Dunbar Family Endowed Scholarship in Law or the William M. Van Cleve Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Law.
