He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest T. Rouse, Jr. and Eleanor Scott Rouse; and his wife Jane Culver Rouse. He is survived by: his children, David Rouse (Sarah), Molly Rouse Ketcham (John) and Jenny Rouse; his grandchildren, Annie, Andrew, Janey and Hunter; and his siblings, Susan Hall (Steve), John Rouse (Janet) and Andy Rouse (Tricia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited or The Women's Bakery, in memory of Sonny Rouse, or to a charity of one's choice.
